Recently we had the opportunity to interview Nick, Territory Manager for Spinach, one of Canada’s first recreational cannabis brands by Peace Natural Project Inc. Nick gave us the scoop on their brand and what’s new for 2022.
Spinach has its roots in medicinal cannabis, with Peace Natural project being the first non-incumbent medical producer in Canada since 2013. Peace natural project announced its first recreational brand; Spinach, in 2018.
When it comes to the elephant in the room; the name “Spinach”, Mike Gorenstein, CEO of Cronos Group explains that “Cronos Group’s first priority is responsible distribution so we made sure to select a brand name that we felt would not appeal to kids,”
Behind the Spinach brand is a group of friends who bonded over their fascination with cannabis and a desire to explore the world of recreational cannabis.
Spinach’s mission to produce quality, and original products have only grown stronger as they have expanded as a company. Spinach’s representative gives us a look into their practices, saying:
